Florida Men’s Track and Field Rounds Out 2023 Roster with Elite Group of Athletes - Florida Gators (2024)

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Head Coach Mike Holloway and the Florida Men's Track and Field team announced the addition of eight athletes to its 2022-2023 roster this afternoon.

These eight will join a team that won the 2022 NCAA Men's Outdoor National Championship in June and a program that has won 10 NCAA Titles on the men's side.

Emmanuel Bamidele (Texas A&M/Sprints), Adrian Bichara (New Orleans/Distance), Ryan Maseman (Alabama/Distance), Calvin Bostic (Coffeyville CC/Throws), Sean Dixon-Bodie (LSU/Jumps), Robert Gregory (TCU/Sprints), Jevaughn Powell (UTEP/Sprints) and Corvell Todd (Southern Miss/High Jump) will join the Gators in 2023, covering four event groups including the sprints, throws, jumps and distance.

"Very proud with the efforts of our staff in putting this class together," Holloway said. "We covered all of the event areas and this will keep us competitive at the conference and national levels."

Bamidele will join a quarter-mile group that had outstanding success during the 2022 season.

The Nigerian had a phenomenal freshman season at Texas A&M, finishing third at the NCAA Indoor Championships and placing fourth at both SEC meets.

Bichara spent his freshman campaign at New Orleans where he competed in both Track and Field and Cross Country.

During his inaugural college season, Bichara was 4th in the 800 meters at the Southland Indoor Championships. He also ran a leg for the Privateers' conference-title winning DMR squad.

Maseman spent his freshman season at Alabama, mainly running the 800 meters. He owns a personal best of 1:51.76 in the event.

Bostic makes his way to Florida after spending two seasons with Coffeyville Community College at the junior college ranks.

He competed at the NJCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the Shot Put, Discus Throw and Hammer/Weight Throw.

Dixon-Bodie joins a Florida program that has a long and proud history in the Triple Jump.

The Bloomfield, Conn. native spent the last two seasons at LSU where he was a four-time All-American in the Triple Jump.

He was the 2022 SEC Indoor and Outdoor Champion in the event and owns a personal best of 16.64m/54-7.25.

Gregory brings an outstanding arsenal of versatility in the sprints to Florida after a pair of years running for TCU.

A six-time All-American, Gregory has run the 60 meters, 100 meters and 200 meters. He was the NCAA Indoor Runner-Up in the 200 meters. During his collegiate career, he's run the 200 meters at all four NCAA Championship competitions.

The Houston, Texas native held anchor leg duties for TCU in the 4x100 relay, taking the Horned Frogs to a 7th-place finish at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Powell, like Bamidele, joins Florida's outstanding 400-meter group for next season. The Clarendon, Jamaica native was the Jamaican National Champion in 2022, qualifying for the World Athletics Championships.

During the collegiate season, Powell finished 7th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400 meters.

At the Conference USA Outdoor Championships, Powell was first in the 400 meters and second in the 200 meters.

Powell was the Conference USA Men's Track Athlete of the Year in 2022. He owns a personal best of 44.87, run at the NCAA West Prelims earlier this year.

He ran for Team Jamaica at the 2022 World Championships, competing in the 400 meters and winning silver in the 4x400 relay.

Todd is a three-time All-American in the High Jump and will take his talents to Gainesville after two years at Southern Miss.

The Byhalia, Miss. native was the NCAA Indoor Runner-Up in the High Jump and followed that up with a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Todd won back-to-back Conference USA Indoor Championships in the High Jump in 2021 and 2022

This selection of athletes will join Florida's roster for the 2022-2023 season. All eight will have immediate eligibility.
